Back in Shape

I've finally given in, and decided to join the gym. I'm not trying to lose weight or anything, but since I've had to use my car more often lately and haven't been on foot as much, I want to firm up. The gym in Alameda has a great rock wall, which got me excited since rock climbing was once a hobby of mine.

About two or three years ago, I was the cinematographer on a short film called "Carly's Adventure", directed by Jason Ryder. It was about child rock climbers, and since I was going to be getting some pretty challenging shots from on the rock wall, I had to be trained not only to climb, but to climb with an expensive camera in one hand.

Anyway, I put an ad out for a work-out buddy on Craigslist (is that crazy?) and found a couple people to work out with. I'm much more likely to go regularly if I have someone to go with. Looking forward to climbing, working out, and they have an indoor hockey rink for inline skates, which I'd love to try! Looking forward to getting in better shape when the new semester starts.
